Explori team celebrates with Moloney Trophy

The Explori team gathered from all round the world to celebrate in the sunshine after an outstanding first half of 2017.

Team members, investors, and partners enjoyed an afternoon of feasting and friendly competition on the petanque pitch for the inaugural "Moloney Trophy".

Named in honour of Mark Moloney of Trades Exhibitions, Explori's first ever client, the trophy was a fun way of celebrating those who backed us from the very beginning.

From promising start-up, Explori has grown to become the leading source of visitor and exhibitor insight across the globe, with clients and offices in every major exhibition territory.

Head of marketing, Sophie Holt explained; "When Explori was founded, a number of organisers including Trades Exhibitions, Upper Street Events, Mash Media and CloserStill showed great faith in us and the ideas behind Explori.  We couldn't be prouder to still count these companies among our client base and our friends now - and of course the many other organisers who have joined us since.

We set out with the belief that great customer insight could change the exhibition industry for the better. Now, with most of the world's biggest organisers contributing to our data and our partnership with UFI extended until 2020, this belief is stronger than ever.

Our summer party was a chance to recognise the hard work the team has put in to keep our clients renewing each year, and to raise a glass to all our friends in the industry who has helped us along the way."

The 2017 Moloney Trophy was won by Explori investor, Richard Armitage, non-exec director Guy Brew and CTO Dan Pacitti.  However given the strong showing from a number of team members playing their first ever petanque match, competition for the 2018 trophy will be fierce!
